Covid Policy

Vienna Sugar Blues Festival complies with all local and national COVID-19 regulations. The following rules and restrictions refer to the recent measures by the Republic of Austria and the city of Vienna that took effect on 5th March 2022. Please note that these measures may change by the time of the event. By registering for the event, you agree to abide by these and future regulations.

1. Participants must be vaccinated or recovered from a COVID-19 infection

  • For vaccinated persons applies:
    • Valid vaccinations are BioNtech/Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna und Novavax.
    • For vaccines with 2 partial vaccinations:
      • After the 2nd partial vaccination, the vaccination certificate is valid for 180 days. For persons up to the age of 18, a maximum of 210 days.
      • After the booster vaccination (3rd vaccination), the proof of vaccination is valid for 270 days.
    • Vaccines with one vaccination (for example Johnson & Johnson).
      • The vaccination certificate of a one-time Johnson & Johnson vaccination is no longer valid.
      • After a further vaccination (booster vaccination), the vaccination certificate is valid for 180 days.
  • For recovered persons applies:
    • Recovery certificates are valid 180 days from date of recovery.
    • For recovered persons who have been vaccinated once, the vaccination is valid for 180 days from the date of vaccination.
    • Convalescents who are fully immunized are treated the same as those who have been vaccinated 3 times. The Corona infection must not have occurred more than 180 days ago.

 

2. Safety first: testing is mandatory!

When checking-in, please show us a photo of a rapid antigen test (labeled with your name, date and time of testingt) taken no more than 24 hrs prior to check-in. We recommend PCR tests if accessible for you. 

At the moment (March 10) tests are available in (some) pharmacies and testing centers for free. You can find a list with all testing sites in Vienna here


3. Please wash your hands with soap and water upon arrival at our facilities and regularly throughout your stay.  Do this also after going to the toilet, sneezing or coughing. Hand sanitizers will be provided at any festival location.

4. If you do need to cough or sneeze, do so inside your elbow or into a paper towel. Dispose the paper in a trash can immediately afterwards.

5. Do not drink directly from water fountains or taps. Instead use a glas, cup or bottle.

6. Please do not participate if you feel ill or have symptoms (runny nose, cough, difficulty breathing, fever, body aches, joint pain or stiffness, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of taste, and/or loss of smell). Even if you suspect just a simple cold.

7. If you show symptoms indicative of COVID-19 prior to and/or during the event organizers may request you to take mitigating steps including but not limited to asking you to leave the event immediately without a refund.

8. Please do not participate if you feel ill or have symptoms (runny nose, cough, difficulty breathing, fever, body aches, joint pain or stiffness, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of taste, and/or loss of smell). Even if you suspect just a simple cold.​

9. If you show symptoms indicative of COVID-19 prior to and/or during the event organizers may request you to take mitigating steps including but not limited to asking you to leave the event immediately without a refund.​

COVID-19 Refund policy

In case of refraining from participation for reasons that lie in your person  – including, for example, lack of provision of the currently required standards (e.g. proof of vaccination, proof of convalescence) – the ticket cannot be refunded due to existing willingness to hold the event on part of the organizer.
