Terms & Conditions:
By purchasing a festival ticket, entering any festival location (workshops or parties), or engaging in any activities (social activities), you understand and agree to be bound to these Terms and Conditions at all times. Additionally, you agree that you understand and accept our privacy policy and personal data protection policy.

Admission
Our team, volunteers and all dancers at Vienna Sugar Blues Festival have a right to be in a safe and non-threatening environment. We therefore expect appropriate behaviour from all participants. If a participant engages in harassing or unsafe behaviour, the event organisers and/or the Care Team members will take any action they deem appropriate. This includes, but is not limited to, issuing a warning, expelling the offender from the event and/or future events, refusing admission and/or contact with the offender.

The Vienna Sugar Blues Festival organisers reserve the right to turn down registrations or refuse entry to any part of the event. Additionally, the organisers reserve the right to expel an already registered person from the event. In case the expulsion occurs any time up until one day before the beginning of the event, the organisers will refund the full ticket price. The refund, at any given time, does not include any other financial expenses already incurred by the participant prior to the event. In case the expulsion occurs during the event, the organisers will pay no refund for the ticket.

Prices and cancellation fees
You agree with all prices (Full Track Pass: € 165; Party Pass: € 75) and cancellation fees (if you cancel by 31st December 2019, 50% of your ticket price will be refunded; if you cancel by 15th February 2020, 20% of your ticket price will be refunded).

Ticket exchange and resale policy
The Vienna Sugar Blues registration team will manage ticket swaps up until 31st December 2019. As of 1st January 2020, owe will allow ticket holders to give their tickets to another person of their choice only with prior notification to the Vienna Sugar Blues Team. If due to circumstances beyond your control you are no longer able to attend the event, you can sell your ticket and its reserved rights to another person. In case of a ticket exchange, please make sure to contact us as soon as possible via email. The ticket exchange is only valid if your ticket ID-number and the new ticket holder’s first and last name and email address are provided.

Responsibility for injury
All participants attend the event at their own risk and the organisers do not take any responsibility for participants’ injuries or health issues that might arise during the festival.

Theft
The organisers do not take any responsibility for participants’ belongings.

Adjustment of the Programme
The organisers of the event reserve the right to make alterations to the published event program (bands and venues). We suggest that you regularly check our website and Facebook event page in order to be aware of potential updates.

Code of Conduct
We care about you
We care most about you and that you feel comfortable at the Vienna Sugar Blues Festival.
Our Code of Conduct applies to all members of the community (organisers, teachers, DJ*anes, band members, contractors, volunteers, and dancers). By attending the Vienna Sugar Blues Festival, you have read, understood and agreed to the Code of Conduct.

The organisers of the Vienna Sugar Blues Festival are dedicated to providing a harassment-free and safe social dance experience for everyone, regardless of dance ability, dance background, gender, gender identity and/or expression, sexual orientation, physical ability, appearance, body size, race, age, religion, or any other trait. We have a policy of zero tolerance towards harassment in any form. Harassment includes, but is not limited to, verbal comments that reinforce social structures of power (related to any of the above listed characteristics or traits), sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, harassing photography or recording, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome and unreciprocated sexual attention. 

When asked to stop any harassing behaviour, participants are expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in harassing or unsafe behaviour, the event organisers and/or the Care Team members will take any action they deem appropriate, such as issuing a warning or expelling the offender from the event and/or future events, with no refund. In addition, a violation of the Code of Conduct will be recorded and, if deemed appropriate by the event organisers, shared with other event organisers to promote safety across the dance scene.

Care Team
If you are being made to feel uncomfortable or notice that someone else is being made to feel uncomfortable, if you are being harassed or notice that someone else is being harassed, or if you have any other concerns, please contact any of the Care Team members immediately. Contact the registration desk volunteer or one of the organisers if you need assistance locating a Care Team member. 

It’s ok to say no
It’s okay to say no to a dance when being asked. Please be respectful and accept a no when asking someone else for a dance. Equally, we ask you to decline a dance request in a kind manner. 
 
Dance roles do not equal gender roles
Please keep in mind that in a social dance setting with leading, following, and switching, we do not assume the other person’s dance role based on their gender expression. We invite you to clearly express which role you want to dance when you ask someone for a dance.

Mind your own and other dancers’ bodies
Please be careful when dancing and make sure that you and your partner, as well as your fellow dancers, have a safe dance experience.
Be mindful of other dancers around you and keep your dancing social-floor friendly.
Make sure that the other person has given their consent before leading moves such as dips or dancing in close embrace. This includes, but is not limited to, yanking or jerking your partner around or forceful movement when leading or following (risk of shoulder, arm, and upper-back injuries).
In case you have an injury or are in pain, please tell your dance partner in order to keep your dance safe.
If you accidentally swipe or touch a sensitive body part of a fellow dancer, please apologize to him*her. 
Stay hydrated, and make sure to eat enough.
When dancing, please take care of good personal hygiene. You know your own body – make sure to bring a towel, deodorant and/or an extra change of clothes, if needed.

Registration Process

1. You will get an automatic e-mail that we received your registration.
2. The confirmation e-mail will be sent in 7 days if you get your spot or you are on the waiting list.
3. You have one week time to transfer the costs, then we will put you on our final list.
4. If we don’t hear from you, unfortunately your spot will be given to the next person on the waiting list.
5. Pack your bag, book your flight/train/bus (here) and get ready to blues with us.
